IMG_2630Those folk at Google recently took to a boat in order to photograph the surface of Loch Ness. While this gives people from around the world an opportunity to search for floating logs and mysterious shadows, it also gives anglers a nudge toward a handy tool.

There is no suggestion that we all go Nessie fishing, but taking the time to study our local rivers and lakes from above might just give us an edge. We aren’t going to spot every gravel bar or undercut bank, but we might see something half a mile downstream from our normal swim that looks a little bit fishy.
