Larry Jacobsen studied graphic design, then worked in the art department of an air force base, before finding landscape and wildlife painting. He lived in the southern California mountains, surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest for many years. He is interested in well-designed realistic representations of the western US, especially its mountains, streams, lakes, deserts and rocks. He is has been published extensively, is represented by (among others) Shutterstock and Cornucopia3D, and has exhibited all over California.
